As Perfinclub we are very happy that we could hold another meeting for our members in De Bilt on September 4th, We’ve all been looking forward to it. As a result of the corona pandamic, we had to use the internet auction a number of times. A very nice alternative, but the regular hall auction remains an important part of our meeting.
The internet auction has shown that quite a lot of members like to use it; these members would therefore no longer be served with the hall auction. Using a live auction like the big auction houses is not an alternative. The costs and effort to realize this are not feasible for us.
We hope to have found a good alternative with an additional website. On the site www.KIJKpcnveiling.nl, all lots were visible in a similar way to the internet auction.
However, you could NOT place bids there. Bidding by PCN members is possible at the meeting in the hall or as a written bid in advance to the auctioneer.
This was possible by an email to veilingmeester@perfinclub.nl or via the mail option on the site www.KIJKpcnveiling.nl or in writing.
Because the meeting was also a (postponed) annual meeting, there were also a few dozen discount lots at the auction. The financial position of our club made it possible to offer a number of discount lots at the annual meeting this year as well. You only stand a chance if you bid (in the hall or in writing). Discount lots are lots where the auctioneer indicates immediately after the auction that a discount of up to € 20 will be applied to this lot. This means that a lot of, for example, € 5 is given for free and that you do not pay the normal € 42 (including premium) for a lot of € 40, but € 22.
The auctioneer determines in advance by means of a ‘randomiser’ 25 lot numbers and informs you immediately after the sale that the lot in question is a discount lot.
Now that we have the internet auction to our availability, we will continue to use it more often. It is my intention to organize an extra internet auction on 23 October.
Then we will use www.PCNveiling.nl again.
